Armenian national team has become the champion of the World Youth U16 Olympiad in Burdur, Turkey. Armenian chess players who were playing wonderfully during the tournament, have already secured their first place independent of the results of the last round.
This is the second time Armenia has achieved the title of the World Youth Olympiad Champion. Our team had such a great success also in 1998 when future famous grandmasters Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargissian, Tigran L. Petrosian and Varuzhan Akobian were in composition of the team.
Our warmest congratulations to Armenian young chess players on this new brilliant achievement!
