The winner was WGM Anna Muzychuk (Slovenia) with 8 points.
 
3-Jun-2010 Aronian Will Play Not in Baku
 
FIDE confirmed that the World Champion candidate's matches will be held in two countries. It is planned that four of the eight qualifiers will play in Baku, the other four, including Levon Aronian, in another country which will be adjusted additionally.

Currently seven of the eight qualifiers are known: Aronian, Topalov, Kramnik, Carlsen, Kamsky, Gelfand, Radjabov.

According to preliminary decision, the matches, which will be held with the knockout system will begin on March 1, 2011.

Levon Aronian will take part in the traditional rapid chess tournamet which is to be held in Leon, Spain, from June 4 to 6, 2010. Armenian grandmaster's opponents will be Boris Gelfand (Israel), Leinier Dominguez (Cuba) and Fransisco Vallejo Pons (Spain).

GM Sergey Grigoriants scored 4 points out of 7 and took the silver medal in the Moscow 2010 Championship. IM Nikolai Chadaev became the champion of the capital of Russia with the similar result.

GM Varuzhan Akobian scored 6,5 points out of 9 and took the 7th place among the 149 participants of the open which was held in Chicago (USA). GM Melikset Khachiyan and WFM Tatev Abrahamyan scored 6 points each.

GM Loek Van Wely (Nederlands) took the first prize with 7,5 points.
